Learning systemsdesigned.

I design learning for people the system wasn't built for. Eighteen years designing curriculum, assessment and authentic learning in specialist education.

The best learning rarely begins with a worksheet. It begins with a problem worth solving . For nearly two decades I've designed curriculum , assessment and learning experiences for young people whose needs don't fit neatly into standard education. That work has taught me to think in systems rather than lessons: understanding constraints , designing around them, and testing ideas in practice. My work combines curriculum architecture with design practice . I map qualifications into coherent learning journeys , create parallel pathways that allow pupils with different abilities to learn together , and build partnerships beyond the classroom so learning has purpose beyond assessment. I'm happiest when I'm solving problems that don't have an obvious answer . Education happens to be where I've spent the last eighteen years, but the thing that drives me has always been the design challenge itself.
